A set of 48 music practice strategy cards for students to cut out and use in their home practice.
Use these cards in lessons to prompt student to think about what they might use in their practice this week.
I made mine into a challenge to see how many strategies students use each week. I found my students have loved using the cards and really look forward to telling me each week which ones have been helpful. You could ask students to make up their own practice strategy cards if they find other ideas themselves.
The strategies range from beginner to advanced level and can be used as prompts by all levels and ages of pianist from young children to adults.
The cards feature colourful image and brief description of the practice strategy.

A great little pack full of practice ideas to choose from, which can be fostered in the lesson or at home! Each Practice Strategy Card has a simply instruction with a cute pictorial emblem. What’s there to not like about this set, refreshes those practice ideas for student and teacher.
These strategy cards are colourful and full of good ideas for developing practice strategies. There were a couple I didn’t know how to use (the envelope window, for example) but I got around this by searching the web until I found the answer. I didn’t, however, manage to get hold of the The Musician’s Toolkit online. Perhaps it would be useful if there was an additional information sheet for teachers included with this resource.
